Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining hundreds of walkers participate in the 2013 March for Babies along the Cape Cod Canal. I was a part of “Hudson’s Crew” which was lead by Eddie & Heather, my nephew and his wife who were walking in memory of their angel Hudson. This was their second year participating in the event and my first time. I am proud to say that I survived the walk with only a minor foot injury. LOLIt was a spectacular day with a nice breeze off the ocean that made it quite comfortable for walking. As usual my camera was with me and I captured a bird I’d never encountered before – a comorant. I also managed to capture a barge being guided by a tug boat through the canal. All my years living here in Massachusetts and it’s the first time I’ve walked along the canal. Many locals were sitting along the shore and I stopped to watch a few fishermen reeling in their catch only to find a piece of seaweed or have the line break at the last moment. Ah the joys of fishing.
I was impressed by the numbers of people who participated. Some groups had countless members all wearing the same shirt with a saying for the angel they were memorializing
My next adventure will begin a week from today when I head out to Denver to meet up with the StormScapeLive tour.
