Local Sunset with Virga.
In less than 2 months, I will be embarking on a 10 day storm chase / landscape photography tour with Michael Phelps the owner and operator of “StromScapeLive.TV”. We will meet up in Denver Colorado on July 7th and will go where the weather takes us – be it the Dessert South Western states for the start of monsoon/haboob season (dust storms), any of the plains states for severe weather / tornados, or possibly even up into Canada which had a very active tornado season last year.
Along on this particular tour will be:

· Randy Walton of Scottsdale, AZ – tour coordinator
· Aaron Blaser of Portland, TX – news producer & on air meteorologist in Texas (not sure of network affiliations). Aaron was also Mike Phelps original storm chasing partner.
· Ben McMillan of Pella, Iowa – member of the Iowa Storm Chasing Network
· Neely Gilchrist of Saint John, New Brunswick
· Sarah Clarke of Leeds, UK
· MaryLou D’Amarino of Brockton, MA
StormScapeLive.TV broadcasts on the internet from the time they leave their hotel in the morning until they pull into the next hotel at night. Along the way you can see anything from storm structure, driving in rain & hail, photographing wildlife in their local habitats, and national parks to viewing gorgeous sunsets or lighting storms. While driving they also interact live with followers on the SSL Chat board and there is also a face book group called Friends of Storm Scape Live or FOSSL for short. Yes we are all fossls!
